Artist Retreat

Alert Bay Lodge is thrilled to participate in the Alert Bay Art Group’s inaugural workshop. “Textures of Village Island” includes an all day field trip to Village Island on Saturday, April 4 where we’ll wander and sketch among the ruins of this historic First Nations island. We’ll spend the next day under the tutelage of Pat Warrington, a visiting UK artist and part-time resident of Alert Bay. On this day, and set in the Great Room of Alert Bay Lodge, we’ll create our finished pieces from our sketches. The workshop’s limit of 10 participants filled up in a day! The 'Alert Bay 360', July 24th, is open to all and free to register. Over $12,000.00 in cash and prizes, random draws from all who finish regardless of position. Sea Festival activities,cultural events, music and art shows all taking place July 23-25.
