The sun has gone down

Another beautiful day.  It was a morning with no wind, bright sunshine, blue skies and birds swimming on the water.  In the afternoon, there was a mist of rain for a short while, then a full rainbow appeared.  Alert Bay - a great place to be.

Saturday at 5:30 pm

A great day in Alert Bay!  The sun came out for awhile; 9C and calm seas.  The wind has gone, it is quiet but for the eagles calling from the trees behind the Lodge.

Friday morning

It is a balmy 9 C here in Alert Bay!  The winds are still gusting at 45 knots but the wind is expected to drop by this evening.  A gorgeous sunrise this morning!

Evening at Alert Bay Lodge

Another wintery day in Alert Bay!  The temperature was around 5 C and the sky was cloudy with intermittent showers all day.  The sky is still overcast this evening, so we probably won't get to see the moon shining down on Johnstone Strait.

After the potatch we start accepting invidual bookings for the 2014 season. Until then the lodge will remain open to groups, so if your university, construction company or special group needs ‘a home away from home’ please contact us.
